criteria: gender neutral, $25 or less, no gag gifts. (let's be real, as funny as it may be, i'd rather spend money on something useful!)
here's what i've come up with so far:
2. a board game or maybe a puzzle (man, i sound boring.) balderdash or apples to apples - $20
3. alcohol related gifts - margarita glass set + tequila (or champagne flutes + a little bubbly) zazz margarita glass - $4 each
4. coffee related gifts - reusable coffee mugs + a gift card to starbucks? travel mug - $6 each
5. appetizer plates - i just love the colors! set of 6 travel plates - $25
do any of you lovely, creative readers have other ideas?

All good ideas! I was just at a white elephant party and the best gifts were wine and/or champagne glasses or tervis tumblers. All were a hit!

ooo the coffee idea is a great one! Lets face it, we all love it but it's a bit of a luxury these days!! so the gift voucher is fab! (luckily for me i work in a coffee shop haha)

i think the board games are perfect for the swap!! i LOVE apples to apples. really any party game i can see being a big hit! i love the drink/alcohol gift suggestions but i could see those as being a popular item to give at a thing like that.
