wine tasting (and peacock watching) in the santa cruz mountains.

last weekend, nicholas and i had our very first house guests in california! dave, justine, and krista came up for a visit. and, you cannot visit northern california without drinking some wine... so we took them right to our backyard - the santa cruz mountains. lucky us, we have dozens and dozens of wineries within 20 minutes of our home. (napa and sonoma are a little less than 2 hours away.) one winery we went to, the picchetti winery, has peacocks roaming around on the property, but we couldn't get this guy to fan out his feathers. i guess we'll just have to go again soon! (wine tasting is so much fun!)

So much fun! We are lucky to live in such a great place in California. If you are free next Sunday, come join me for a farmers' market adventure. XO!!!!

Oh, I would love to go back to Northern Cali and do some wine tastings. The last time I was there I wasn't 21 yet! However, I did check out the Santa Cruz beach and downtown area :)
