one silly thing that i love about this time of year is that it's chilly so I normally wear cozy wool socks around the house... and it is MUCH more fun to dance to Christmas music on hardwood floors when you are wearing socks! (oh, and the birth of jesus - i love that about Christmas, too.)
this year, for our fifth ornament exchange (seriously! five Christmases together!! what?!?!) we decided to pick out ornaments for each other while we were in london.
from nicholas, to me:
queen victoria sewn doll (from westminster abbey)
and a jeweled crown (from the tower of london).
.... because "you are the queen and no one messes with the queen."
why, thank you husband!
and, from me, to nicholas...
what every man needs...
a glittery, union jack, double-decker bus from harrod's!
i love sentimental ornaments!
Christmas trees should be about memories, not about everything matching perfectly.
after five years of ornament exchanges, our tree is finally coming together.
we're going to have to get a bigger tree soon!
