A Perfect Afternoon for Tea

Ever since we were in London last year, I have been a huge fan of Afternoon Tea. On Wednesday, Nick and I both left work early to spend some time together up in the city. (San Francisco, that is!)

We stopped by Crown and Crumpet for a little treat. It was really cute. We talked to the sweet owner for a bit and apparently, they used to have a super cute shop near/in Ghirardelli Square, but their rent was increased by 100%+ this year, so they moved into the lobby of a building in Japantown until they find a new spot to call home. I would love to see their new spot when it's ready; the Japantown building was very modern and lacked the shabby-chic charm that Crown and Crumpet seemed to be going for.

Regardless, Afternoon Tea was delightful and I'd love to visit again!

Such a good sport :)

We tried the Chai tea... yummm.

The ham sandwiches and the scone with clotted cream and lemon curd were my favorites!

Also on my list of places to try for Afternoon Tea is the Palace!

It's too bad they had to move. They had such a cute little tearoom/shop at their old location. It still looks cute though!
